College for Criminal Law Science of Beijing Normal University

The academic forum on "the trends of death penalty reform and the application standards - the international community's experience and China's practice " ,co-sponsored by CCLS of BNU and Great Britain China Centre,was successfully held on June 14^th and 15^th , 2009 in Guangzhou City. The academic forum was co-organised by Intermediate People's Court of Guangzhou City and Basic People's Court of BaiYun District. The forum is also an important  part of the EU project on"Reform of China's death penalty system," which is mainly charged by CCLS of BNU and actively supported by a number of domestic units .More than 100 delegates from Oxford University, Koehler University , London Institute for death penalty project , Law Committee of China's National People's Congress , the Supreme People's Court, Beijing Normal University, Wuhan University and the Higher People's Court of GuangDong province, Intermediate People's Court of Guangzhou City, the People's Procuratorate and the People's Court Guangzhou Municipal, the various districts and counties of GuangZhou and other units attended the forum.
