College for Criminal Law Science of Beijing Normal University

The Fourth International Symposium on Contemporary Criminal Law, hosted by College for Criminal Law Science (CCLS), co-sponsored by Criminal Law Research Committee of China Law Society and China National Group of International Association of Penal Law, was held in Beijing on 10th to 11th December,2011. The theme of the symposium is the Prevention and Punishment of Organized Crime in the Globalization Era. About 200 people, including scholars, experts, judges and prosecutors from international organizations such as the International Association of Penal Law, International Chamber of Commerce, and the United States, Canada, France , Spain, Russia, Australia , Korea and other countries as well as the Hong Kong SAR of China, also including some scholars from Central and Local law enforcement authorities, universities and institutes, attended the symposium. The symposium was composed by the following sections: research on the general problem of organized crime, the specific research on organized crime in some countries, research on some typical kinds of organized crime, research on the procedure and international cooperation in combating organized crime. The participants made an animated, deep discussions on the relevant issues.
